Specification & Quotes

how we can help

  • Once you’ve received your survey or house plan and chosen your home improvements, our Retrofit Coordinator will prepare a detailed specification to help you get accurate quotes for the work.

If you're a new customer and don’t want a plan, don’t worry — we can still help you gather quotes. Please note: if you haven’t had a survey or house plan through us, there is a charge of £80 for an assessment visit, plus the cost of any measures you choose.

Each specification is a standalone document, and we charge a fee per specification. The costs for each measure are listed in the table below. You can learn more about what’s included in a specification further down the page.

  • Once your specification is ready, we can contact installers on your behalf to request quotes, including ones you’ve already arranged. Our technical team will review the quotes first to check for suitability and fair costs then provide them to help you compare your options.

  • If you decide to go ahead with a contractor we’ve sourced for you, we’ll support you throughout the entire process. This includes site visits, reviewing and clarifying quotes, providing technical oversight, signing off the completed work, and helping resolve any issues with the contractor. Click here to see an overview of the full process.

To cover these services, we charge a 5% + VAT service fee based on the total project cost.

Please note, any required building control approvals or planning permissions are your responsibility, as per UK law. There’s no obligation to go ahead with the work after receiving your specification.

Our process is designed to guide you through clear, manageable stages - from preparing your specification to securing quotes and supporting your installation. Whether you're an existing customer or new and simply looking for quotes for a specific measure (e.g. loft insulation) without a full plan or survey, we can help.

Pricing

Please note: An £80.00 fee applies for assessment visits if no existing survey or retrofit plan has been completed for the property (e.g. if you're simply looking for a quote for a specific measure).
